I’m often asked this question. There are lots of people who don’t go with a videographer and come to me after saying they wish they had. In my experience, you can never go wrong with a wedding video. If you can fit it into your budget, then you should go for it! You’ll be so happy you did, but don’t take it from my word only, take a look at what some of my previous couples have said about why you should get a wedding video!
Star married Brian at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine on September 7, 2018. She said, “When initially planning our wedding, the videographer was something that I thought we could do without in an effort to cut costs. DO NOT SKIP THE VIDEOGRAPHER. If we hadn't gotten a wedding film I would have seriously regretted it forever, especially after being lucky enough to hire someone as talented as Nick. If you do two things for your wedding they should be 1, hire a videographer, and 2, hire Nick Eaton.”
Shailey married Graham at the Omni Mount Washington Resort on October 27th, 2018 and she said, “Like many others, we were on the fence as to whether we wanted to hire a videographer for our wedding. A couple months before our big day, we ended up deciding to explore adding video afraid we’d regret not capturing different moments. We ended up going with Nick at Life in Focus and could not have been happier with our decision. We couldn’t believe we even questioned it after seeing our videos (even my husband who still questioned it until our wedding day).”
You may find yourself saying, “when am I going to have time to even watch my wedding video?” That’s what your trailer is for! At Life in Focus, we give you a 1 minute teaser trailer and a highlighters trailer ranging from 3-7 minutes. Plus it’s great for sharing on Instagram for those people looking to share with friends and family who couldn’t be there to see the big day, which brings us to another point: If you get a wedding video, you can share with those people who were not able to make it–maybe grandma couldn’t get on a plane or your best friend was abroad. With your feature film, they’ll be able to watch as if they were right there with you!
This last summer I ran into a couple who I filmed the previous year. Todd, the groom, told me that Susan, the bride, still watches the video every month, and every month, she cries because she’s so happy! You might think of your parents wedding video, an hour long tape that sat on the shelf gathering dust, but that’s not the way of the industry anymore. Our videos range from a minute long teaser to a 20-30 minute feature, so no matter how little time you have when you want to revisit your big day, you always can!
Your day flies by, but your video ensures you don’t miss a thing! Your mother’s smile as you dance for the first time with the love of your life, granddad’s laugh when your best man tells a joke, these little moments you might miss that your videographer won’t. You get to hear your vows again and that’s definitely something worth remembering.
I won’t go into detail on why you should specifically hire me…I’ll let my videos do the talking!
