Hawaii Travel Video
Traveling around the world is a dream of many photographers and videographers and I am no exception to that. I think of all the places I want to see through the lens of my camera every day (sometimes all day!) and I cannot wait for my next adventure as soon as one ends. This past winter I had the great opportunity to head to the Hawaiian island of Oahu for a conference where I filmed a handful of interviews. During this trip, I also had 5 days of free time where I spent each one exploring all the island has to offer. Though I won't share my interviews here, below is a short travel edit of my time on Oahu!
I discovered the legend that is the North Shore years ago when watching surfing greats conquer it's colossal waves, however, I learned while visiting that it needs to be just the perfect conditions, as the waves when I stopped by on my drive around Oahu were not even close to clean surf. Though the swell was not what I expected, I was still awestruck to the intensity of the rough waves out on the ocean.
I forgot to pack any sort of hiking shoes and during a hike out to a lighthouse with my sister, I went barefoot, something that the others hiking didn't find so appealing! But it was well worth the views. I saw the statue of Duke and wandered the streets of Waikiki in search of the best margarita. I tried poké for the first time (it tastes amazing!) and even stopped by Aulani for a short rest on the resort beach. I filled each day with so many adventures that I might just touch on them in a later post but for now, enjoy this short video!
